Our Mission

Reliable Pet Adoption Service

SouthPaw Boxer Rescue is a non-profit, foster-based rescue serving North and South Carolina. SouthPaw Boxer Rescue launched in April 2020, born of the desire to help alleviate the number of boxers in shelters. These include abandoned and/or abused boxers and owner surrenders whenever possible from people that can no longer care for their boxer.

Every boxer we rescue goes to an approved, loving foster home and receives full medical care that includes all vaccinations, a spay or neuter if not already done, heartworm testing and treatment if they test positive and any surgeries needed such as mass removals, ACL repairs, etc. They stay in their foster home as long as needed allowing time for him or her to decompress, heal from any surgery or abuse if any, and learn what it’s like to be loved and learn to trust humans again.

Once we determine the foster is ready for their forever home, their foster parents begin the process of talking to approved adopters and selects the family best suited for their foster.

In order to be an  approved adopter, your resident pet(s) must be spayed or neutered, up to date on all shots, and on heartworm prevention. We screen each applicant by checking personal  and veterinary references as well as a required home visit. *

* Home visits are done to assess the home and family environment to help us determine what boxer would be best suited for the family. Our commitment to each boxer is to find the perfect forever home best suited for him or her.
